teachersifa is a trading style of Laurel Court Associates Ltd. The company directors are Alan Bowers & Mark Jones who have known each other since 1991 when they worked together as advisers, then managers with the Colonial Mutual Group, who at the time were the recognised insurers for the NASUWT.

In 1996, they both set up their own repective Independent financial services companies but continued to work in joint ventures during this period. Their main focus of their financial advice was still targeted to the teaching profession, continuing to arrange many seminars at schools and colleges.

In August 2000, they decided to merge their companies and Laurel Court Associates was formed. Since then, the company has continued to grow, recruiting additional administrative staff and further qualified financial advisers.

teachersifa was created as a trading style, to continue the association between the company and the teaching profession and to create an identity that would more closely represnt the ethos of the company.
